Lawrence Gilliard Jr. played Bob Stookey across 14 episodes of The Walking Dead (2013-2015).

Born September 22, 1971, in New York City and raised in Baltimore from age seven, Lawrence studied clarinet at the Baltimore School for the Arts, where his classmates included Jada Pinkett Smith and Tupac Shakur, and spent three years at Juilliard before switching to acting. He gained critical acclaim as D’Angelo Barksdale on The Wire, and has also appeared in The Deuce as Chris Alston, Gangs of New York and The Waterboy.
